Ham asks. "Well, I believe it's because a
creationist ministry like Answers in Genesis has put so much information
out there, and we've got the Creation Museum under construction. I think
what's happened is that it's made such an impact on the culture, the
humanists are running scared."

The creation science advocate believes evolutionists are trying to declare
2005 as a year of breakthroughs for evolution in order to push the
evolution on an increasingly disabused public with unprecedented access to
scientific data supporting creationism. "We're getting information out
there, and once people get this information, they can see that evolution is
totally bankrupt," he asserts.

As for the scientific establishment's claims about the similarities between
the genetic code of apes and humans, the AIG spokesman points out, "When
you look at DNA, it consists of what are called base pairs, and there's
three billion of them in human DNA. Do you realize a four percent
difference means 120 million differences? That's an enormous difference.
That, in itself, is very, very significant, even if the 'four percent' was
real. but the four percent, as I've said, is a very arbitrary figure."

Given the opportunity, Ham contends he can debunk nearly all of Darwinists'
arguments for evolution in a 40-minute lecture. He says secular humanists
are aware of the many challenges posed to their pet theory by creationists
-- and he believes they are increasingly alarmed and desperate to fight
back, even with empty declarations and false assertions about "the year of
evolution."

W. Until now, it was assumed they were not aquatic creatures. That perception may soon change. The tracks of a previously unknown, two-legged swimming dinosaur that has birdlike characteristics have been found in northern Wyoming, reports The Associated Press.

So much for the Loch Ness monster. Scientists have discovered what could be the original sea monster!

Researchers continue to look for bones and other remains that might help them further identify and name this newly found dinosaur. "It was about the size of an ostrich, and it was a meat-eater," Debra Mickelson, a University of Colorado graduate student in geological sciences, said in a statement. "The tracks suggest it waded along the shoreline and swam offshore, perhaps to feed on fish or carrion."

This is no ordinary dinosaur fossil dug up in South Dakota. Find out why this bizarre looking creature is so special.

Based on just studying the tracks, the Colorado researchers have determined the dinosaur was 6 feet tall and lived about 165 million years ago along an ancient inland sea. "The swimming dinosaur had four limbs, and it walked on its hind legs, which each had three toes," Mickelson explained in a news release. "The tracks show how it became more buoyant as it waded into deeper water--the full footprints gradually become half-footprints and then only claw marks." She says the team's research supports the "conclusion that the dinosaurs were intentionally swimming out to sea, perhaps to feed." Swimming dinosaurs! The humanist John Dewey "the father of modern education" was a signer of the "humanist manifesto" which stats in part-----
FIRST: Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created.

SECOND: Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continuous process.

THIRD: Holding an organic view of life, humanists find that the traditional dualism of mind and body must be rejected.

FOURTH: Humanism recognizes that man's religious culture and civilization, as clearly depicted by anthropology and history, are the product of a gradual development due to his interaction with his natural environment and with his social heritage. The individual born into a particular culture is largely molded by that culture.

FIFTH: Humanism asserts that the nature of the universe depicted by modern science makes unacceptable any supernatural or cosmic guarantees of human values. Obviously humanism does not deny the possibility of realities as yet undiscovered, but it does insist that the way to determine the existence and value of any and all realities is by means of intelligent inquiry and by the assessment of their relations to human needs. Religion must formulate its hopes and plans in the light of the scientific spirit and method.

SIXTH: We are convinced that the time has passed for theism, deism, modernism, and the several varieties of "new thought".

SEVENTH: Religion consists of those actions, purposes, and experiences which are humanly significant. Nothing human is alien to the religious. It includes labor, art, science, philosophy, love, friendship, recreation -- all that is in its degree expressive of intelligently satisfying human living. The distinction between the sacred and the secular can no longer be maintained.

EIGHTH: Religious Humanism considers the complete realization of human personality to be the end of man's life and seeks its development and fulfillment in the here and now. This is the explanation of the humanist's social passion.

NINTH: In the place of the old attitudes involved in worship and prayer the humanist finds his religious emotions expressed in a heightened sense of personal life and in a cooperative effort to promote social well-being.

TENTH: It follows that there will be no uniquely religious emotions and attitudes of the kind hitherto associated with belief in the supernatural.

ELEVENTH: Man will learn to face the crises of life in terms of his knowledge of their naturalness and probability. Reasonable and manly attitudes will be fostered by education and supported by custom. We assume that humanism will take the path of social and mental hygiene and discourage sentimental and unreal hopes and wishful thinking.

TWELFTH: Believing that religion must work increasingly for joy in living, religious humanists aim to foster the creative in man and to encourage achievements that add to the satisfactions of life.

THIRTEENTH: Religious humanism maintains that all associations and institutions exist for the fulfillment of human life. The intelligent evaluation, transformation, control, and direction of such associations and institutions with a view to the enhancement of human life is the purpose and program of humanism. Certainly religious institutions, their ritualistic forms, ecclesiastical methods, and communal activities must be reconstituted as rapidly as experience allows, in order to function effectively in the modern world.

FOURTEENTH: The humanists are firmly convinced that existing acquisitive and profit-motivated society has shown itself to be inadequate and that a radical change in methods, controls, and motives must be instituted. A socialized and cooperative economic order must be established to the end that the equitable distribution of the means of life be possible. The goal of humanism is a free and universal society in which people voluntarily and intelligently cooperate for the common good. Humanists demand a shared life in a shared world.

FIFTEENTH AND LAST: We assert that humanism will: (a) affirm life rather than deny it; (b) seek to elicit the possibilities of life, not flee from them; and (c) endeavor to establish the conditions of a satisfactory life for all, not merely for the few. By this positive morale and intention humanism will be guided, and from this perspective and alignment the techniques and efforts of humanism will flow.

So stand the theses of religious humanism. Though we consider the religious forms and ideas of our fathers no longer adequate, the quest for the good life is still the central task for mankind. Man is at last becoming aware that he alone is responsible for the realization of the world of his dreams, that he has within himself the power for its achievement. He must set intelligence and will to the task.

The religion of humanism has shaped all education public and even Christian education we must purge ourselves of it and remember God not Man is the measure of all things. The truth of Christianity is radical it must overturn the world and it system. not by revolutions or the voting box but but the by reaching the hearts of our children and thoses around us.

W. These early explanations were flawed by a lack of knowledge of the nature of comets (or other bodies involved) and by a reliance on the mechanically unfeasible axis shifts (or tidal effect) of objects of unreasonable size. It is certain from the presence of numerous craters between various stratagraphic layers that impacts did occur. This fact has prompted at least one critic to allege this as evidence against the Flood (as recorded in Genesis). Creationists have suggested that impacts played an important role in the judgment of sin at the time of the Flood. Dr Daniel Faulkner has proposed a in which a giant comet was directed at the Earth during the Flood and caused impacts on the Earth and moon. While agreeing in many particulars with Dr Faulkner, I suggest a somewhat different whereby the impacts on Earth and the maria-forming impacts on the moon resulted from the disruption-capture of a rubble pile body -- a stony or icy aggregate held together by self-gravity. The fragmentation of this microplanet (asteroid or comet) resulted from a near encounter with the Earth that brought that object within the Roche limit.the result was a Walker Exchange Capture- That is a three-body capture mechanism in which two smaller bodies(or one rotating rublle pile)the componates of which were initially in orbit around each other, encounter a large body and a partner exchange happens The resulting scatter of debris showered the earth/moon system with fragments of various sizes not only giving rise to most major impacts in a very short interval of time, but also giving rise to a temporary ring system which may have continued to impact the Earth for some time afterwards. Lastly, I have attempted to estimate the size of such an object based on the total volume of debris that struck the Earth during the Flood and have found the most likely size to range from 30 km to 55 km, easily within the range of known objects that could threaten the Earth.

Introduction

Early creationist ideas often suggested a role for cosmic catastrophism. William Whiston set forth a theory, which proposed a planet-sized comet raised tides that deluged the Earth. Edmond Halley proposed a comet impacted the Earth , which shifted the axis and thereby caused the Flood. He suggested the Caspian Sea was a scar of that impact. Such catastrophic events appeared Ad-Hoc and unnecessary until the revolutions in geology, beginning in the 1960’s, which have shown conclusively that sizable impacts have occurred. The size, nature, and number of such impacts have become evident. It is clear that many early theories exaggerated the size of the bodies involved and called upon forces many orders of magnitude too large to be realistic. It now seems that the Earth’s rotational axis has remained largely fixed within a few degrees and that it is unlikely any body large enough to produce catastrophic tides has ever passed close to the Earth. Extravagant hypotheses aside, there remain at least a hundred and forty large impact structures on Earth that must be accounted for in any reasonable flood .

Modern Creationists and Impacts

The former young-Earth-creationist-turned-critic, Glenn Morton , believes that the presence of numbers of impacts in the stratagraphic record is a major stumbling block to flood geology. With this assessment I totally disagree. Modern creationists are recognizing that the Flood was a more complex event than a mere rainstorm. Instead, it was an event whereby God unleashed many of nature’s forces in an act of severe judgment . In particular, the works of Wayne Spencer (who has suggested a solar system-wide catastrophe at the time of the Flood) and of Dr. Daniel Faulkner (the Directed Giant Comet ) stand out. Nevertheless, there remain unanswered questions and difficulties, which have not been completely addressed. Among these problems are:

If a solar system-wide catastrophe occurred, Dr. Faulkner has suggested there should more debris in the inner solar system.
Conversely, if the Earth were uniquely singled out for directed ardment, then why are there clear indications of a late heavy ardment accompanied by tectonic upheaval on Mars and Venus with dramatic flooding on Mars?
Finally, the broad stratagraphic distribution of impacts indicates ardment must have continued throughout the depositional phases of the flood, yet the formation of lunar maria suggests a much shorter impact episode lasting only two weeks at most.

The Rubble Pile Fragmentation

The recent discovery that many asteroids and comets are composed of loose rubble held together by mutual gravitation rather than material bonding gives credence to the idea that a single large body could -- supply the impacting bodies which evidently struck the Earth during the Flood year. Such an object passing within the Roche limit would be scattered into a number of fragments on independent trajectories in a manner similar to that shown in Figure One. The Roche limit is the distance from a planet at which the tidal forces exceed the mutual attractive forces of the microplanet and is dependant on density of the intruder. The rubble piles tend to have very low density that often are close to that of water.

Roche Limit = 2.423 * Radius of the Earth * Density of the Earth/ The Density of Microplanet exp 1/3

Assuming a density of 1 (water) for the intruder, the Roche limit for such an object would be 4.5 Earth radii or roughly 28000 km.

Tidal fragmentation

The disruption-capture of a microplanet would produce impacts at the onset but also could lead to the formation of a ring system around the Earth that would continue to supply impact-producing objects for a considerable time. Kaare Rasmussen of the National Museum in Copenhagen has shown by historical analysis and computer ing that such a ring may have existed after recent capture events and given rise to periods of high meteor activity. The perturbations caused by the moon and atmospheric drag ensure any ring around Earth would be much more unstable than around a giant planet such as Saturn. Yet even Saturn’s ring systems would last -- if not resupplied -- only thousands of years . The existence of tektite-strewn fields, such as the North American strewn field , indicates a ring-like distribution because they reach halfway around the world. Peter J. Fawcett, of the University of New Mexico, and Mark E. Boslough, of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Sandia National Laboratories, have additionally ed the formation of rings from ejecta from low-angle impacts and believe such a ring would have a large climatic effect. Possibly a debris ring may have contributed to the Ice Age after the Flood. . If the rubble pile disruption-capture mechanism was responsible for an inner solar system-wide catastrophe around the time of the Flood, then it seems to answer the three questions raised by the conflicting aspects of Faulkner and Spencer’s s. First, since the objects involved were relatively few in number, little debris would be expected to remain. Second, the nearly contemporaneous catastrophes on Mars and Venus were also the result of rubble pile encounters. Third, the continual rain of impacts during the Flood was the result of breakup of an unstable residual ring. This also explains the prevalence of crater chains and apparent chains, which seem to have been overlooked by evolutionists because the chains cut across “time” boundaries.

The Intruder

What would be the size of this hypothetical object? There are a large number of assumptions and variables which must be made to estimate the size. The actual result would vary considerably depending on those assumptions. The size of the mircoplanet was approximated by calculating the size of known impactors from a list of major-impact craters using an available calculation program ( modified from the FORTRAN source code to a PC friendly form by a programmer friend Matt Davis) then totaling up the volume using an Excel spreadsheet. In order to carry out this calculation the intruder was assumed to be spherical have a density of 1, an impact velocity of 17 Km per second, and impact rock with a density of 1.5 at an angle of 45 degrees. A minimum figure of 30 km was the resulting answer. Considering the total area of the Earth, it could really be three times greater in volume, or roughly 43 km. Then, add to that the portion which impacted the moon (or was lost to space). The resulting object was likely to have been 55 km in diameter. This is a reasonable size similar to many asteroids at present. Because the seems to require a relatively low velocity encounter, the most likely candidate would be an asteroid . Such an asteroid would be honeycombed with internal spaces giving it a low density.

Conclusion
The rubble pile disruption-capture provides a framework for explaining the known impacts of the Earth and the formation of lunar maria, as well as a that may be extended to other solar system objects. Impacts cannot be ignored in any comprehensive flood theory. The physical evidence is clear. Failure to recognize and explain these in a young earth can only weaken our stance.

References

William Whiston, “A new theory of the earth, from its original to the consummation of all things: wherein the creation of the world in six days, the universal deluge, and the general conflagration, as laid down in the Holy Scriptures, are shewn to be perfectly agreeable to reason and philosophy: with a large introductory discourse concerning the genuine nature, stile, and extent of the Mosaick history of the creation,” London: Printed by R. But I can find out no such case"

Nature is full of just such examples in fact with few exception nothing can be shown to be able to come about in the way evolution insists upon. It is only by turning the question upside down Darwin side steps the issue. But lets consider one example the humming birds. Humming birds are a divers group with the amazing ability to fly, hover and fly backwards their wing structure is drastically different from other birds with the bones which in other birds would constitute the ends of the wings instead forming the whole wing. The mode of flight requires totally different controls and neurological programming as different as flying a helicopter is from a plane. By no steeple's modification could "the hand" bones with the altered muscle attachments replace the the arm and hand bone structure and remain functional at all steps and there are no transitions between utterly different flight modes. the interdependence of every part the of the system demands the whole be formed at the same time or flight would be impossible. Imagine the first mother bird hatching a offspring so deformed that its wings are mere flapping Hands as yet incapable of flight because the genetic programming of it brain is still not formed and the wing muscle are still to weak to flap are the needed speed? What would happen Natural selection would eliminate the creature as a matter of course long before the various coordinated changes could ever get started.

W. And a few lines from it have always stuck with me In particular a scene where a older Scienctist remarks that it only took God six days to create the world and the creatures from Mars would destroy it in six. The final climatic scene were all the scientist go to church's to pray and the creatures die has always bought a tear to my Eye in the close the narrator says God created the weak things to confound the wise. Sadly the real book was not as good H.G. Wells was an atheist and had no regard for providence He like so many today looked to science and progress as Mans only hope and he supported eugenics and the culling of the weak all justified by the Darwinian deception.

W. Ants for example who harvest leaves and tend garden of mushrooms not able to grow without their tender care, ants which tend and "milk" aphids for honeydew. Ants which tunnel into wood or live in hollow thorns. Bees which make pollen bread to feed there young. Who create honey and pollinate flower who depend on them in turn. Butterflies which are hatched knowing where to fly to a wintering ground they have never seen even a thousand miles away. Termites who's queen is able to live for years and lay millions of eggs and who's tunnel display perfect arches which took men thousands of years to create and were the hallmark of the Roman culture . No one. I was not greatly saddened by this but I fear much the same could be said for many Great works such as the Bible, the constitution, the declaration of independence and other foundational documents. For example how many believe the constitution says there is a separation of church and state? Or how many think the Bible says spare the rod and spoil the child? Beginning as the Earth cooled from a molten ball after the moon was ejected into space by an impact. Then everything settled down ocean condensed continents formed life began in the seas by some mythical chemical process. Then there was nothing but bacteria and maybe some soft bodied creatures for four billion years until in the Cambrian lifeforms inexplicably burst into great variety with every phylum making it appearance. Then what followed was an age of trilobites-an age of fish-an age of coal-an age of reptiles- an age of dinosaurs - an age of mammals an age of man - an ice age and historical times last of all. All this they claim is firmly set in stone from the basic principles of geology. The claim of historical geology are founded on clearly false assumptions which until recently only a few thought to question.

1) superposition- the principle of superposition seem obvious so obvious that we have assumed it to be universal is the assumption that is the layer on top is younger then the layers below it, but in fact experiments show that layer forming in flowing water do not form one layer at a time but generally they form at the same time. With the layers separating and falling out along a slope in a hortizonal distribution. This is important to remember because superposition it is the basis of all "time"sequences claimed by evolutionists yet it is not Law and is often not the way sediments form.

2)geologic column from the assumption one the idea of a universal chronology derived from the position of sediments in relationship to each other was conceived this geologic timetable is the basis of all evolutionary claims yet with a few exceptions the complete column does not exist and in most places only a few of its part are present.far from a neat stack of sediment one on top of each other from oldest to newest like a stack of books we have a chaos of tumbled books.

W. Careful analysis of these traditions show they come from a single source whose details closely follow the biblical story but which must predate the writing of genesis. A world wide flood could not occur without leaving it mark on the world it could not be tranquil because even the most gentle rising of water wound still result in a devastation on a level millions of times worst then any storm or tsunami in recent history as vast tidal bores surged inland uprooting every tree and washing mud soil, sand and sea sediment about. Then as the water drained away it would certainly carve canyons and leave isolated bodies of sea water inland. Is there evidence of this? Yes but it has been misrepresented to us as evidence of deep time instead of deep water. The flood was real and it's remains are the very sedimentary rocks which evolutionists use to tell their story.

W. For the correct analogy for the mind is not a vessel that needs filling but wood that needs igniting -- no more -- and then it motivates one towards originality and instills the desire for truth") and that mind it can burn very brightly teaching science with all its controverses and with a critical eye for truth can be stimulating and fun. the homeschooling parent should attemp to infuse some of this joy of exploring truth into their childs life.

W. That just as a tree has many names in different languages and yet all refer to the same tree so God has many names in different religions but they are all still referring to God. This "new" idea has of course been around for thousands of years but has never made sense. Consider the old Hindu story of the five blind men and the elephant each describing some aspect of an elephant but none of them describing the whole. If that were that were the way world religions were then perhaps a systhesis wound be possible but that in not the case at all, every religion describes God in terms which are contradictory and not able of being held at the same time . Christians for example belief there is only one God who has revealed himself to us in three personal ways as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jews and Muslims deny that God can have a son and hold that God is totally other from us. The Hindu believes there are many gods but in some way they are all faces of the same God. Buddhism denys a personal god. These views can not all be true . evolutionism denys a active God who freely interacts with nature and whose words are not bound by natural law. This can not be both true and not true at the same time.

W. The concerned parent needs to become a tour guide and explain the evolutionary biases of the displays to their children. One proud moment I experienced as a father was when we took our son to the Indianapolis children museum and a tour guide was explaining how the museum would show the ideas scientists have to explain the mystery of how the dinosaurs became extinct my five year old piped up "we know that! They died in the flood, didn't you know? That's why there buried in mud and turned to rock. The tour guide looked confused and rushed us on by.
become informed there are website, books, tapes and soon a world class museum in Florence KY. ( answersingensis.org) where you can learn more about the creationist explanation of fossil record and the gaping holes in evolution. For starts talk to your children about fossils and strata ,go on a fossil hunt, create your own strata in a jar merely mix soils rock sand and water and plastic dinos and shake what do you see form count the layers try to make more, weight the dino down see where it ends up be creative have fun and read the flood story in the Bible ask yourself how long did it last, how big was the ark , what were the two main source of flood waters ete. I think the answers with surprise you.

W. Indeed it harkens back to the days when open racism was the norm for evolutionists , a time before Hitler a when it was acceptable to rank people according to fictional evolutionary history as nearer to apes and farther away. Modern genetics has made this idea untendable by showing all humans are closely related and that races are a cultural myth rather than a reality. The Bible believer knew this long ago since we are of one blood descended from Adam and Eve and even more recently of Noah and his wife.

W. Most dinosaurs were small and even the big ones started out small. Interestingly the scienctist have had to resort to catastrophes to explain the fossils as noted in the article.
"The Yixian rock formation in which their bones were encased is a combination of river sediments and volcanic ash. The formation also includes the fossils of insects, frogs and other creatures, suggesting a mass die-off.
"It's possible that poisonous volcanic gas killed the animals when they were sleeping,'' Meng said. ``Then there was a catastrophic explosion that buried the whole thing."
Might this be consistant with the eruption of the fountains of the deep meantioned in the flood account in genesis.

W. Blanco Fossil Museum, on his home turf in the badlands of West Texas. Thursday June 9, 2005 through Thursday, June 16, 2005, we'll be excavating a large mammoth skull with tusks, along with the bones of other prehistoric animals, in the badlands near the old West town of Dickens on a private ranch. This event is limited to 10 people, so don't delay. Reservations are expected to fill up fast! For more details, and to reserve your spot, go to www.mtblanco.com.

DINOSAUR DIG MONTANA, JULY 2005

2005 FACT (Foundation Advancing Creation Truth) Dig. Come dig in flood sediments of the Hell Creek formation with Joe Taylor and FACT president, Otis Kline. On hand for two of the digs will be Australian John MacKay, www.creationresearch.net, whose knowledge of fossil plants is extraordinary. In 2004 we excavated a triceratops skull, T.rex teeth and many other bones, including Hadrosaur as well as plant fossils. Lots of great evidence for the Flood here! These digs will take place July 11-15, July 18-22 & July 25-29, 2005. For more information and to register, go to the Mt. Blanco web site or visit FACT at www.creationtruth.org.

Joe Taylor
Mt. Girls become slaves to cloths, image and boys at an earlier age then ever. Boys get caught up in self become controlled by the god of image and popularity, sport once a positive part of youth often become an idol as does music and friends. I wish I could say it was different for Christian youth but that is not the case most conservative evanglicals youth do not even believe the there is absolute truth!

What can the Christian parent do who want their children to develop a a Christ-centered life we cannot completely insulated them from all influences nor should we for the result will be rebel. How does a Christian worldview differ from the Worlds poison. The Christian see everything with the eye of a mind trained to think Biblically by the Holy Spirit. We must be Soaked in the Word. To think we can separate our faith from any part of our thinking is to fall in to error. is a way to integrate God into everything we think from Math and history to science. How should I teach history from a biblical view by showing how history is in the bible how prophecy outline the world history before it happened the rise and fall of empires and the rise of kings and so forth and with science we need to start with . IN the begining God...
thankfully we how have more available for the Christian parent for example answers in Genesis (www.Answersingenesis.org)

W.
